NHS K&C/INWL NHS

In 2010, K&C LINk worked on a number of projects jointly with NHS K&C.  This included cardiology, carers, Earl’s Court and a joint response to:

We also developed a tri-borough Procurement Panel.  This panel includes trained residents and patient representatives from Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea and Hammersmith & Fulham who engage in the commissioning cycle to ensure health and social care services are reflective of local need.  Over the past year, the LINk has engaged on:

  • St Charles Community Transport Service
  • St Charles Pharmacy Service
  • Earl’s Court Centre for Health & Well-being
  • K&C Memory Service
  • RBKC Advocacy Service

As you will be aware, the NHS is undergoing a period of reform.  To understand what this means locally and to read about how NHS K&C has become known as INWL NHS (includes Westminster and Hammersmith & Fulham) click here:  9May2011 KCLINkKCSC INWLNHSReforms

Kensington and Chelsea is part of the Integrated Care Pilot.  This pilot for people over 75 or with diabetes is about ensuring health and social care professionals, like your GP, care provider and social worker work together with the individual to provide more person centred care.  For more information click Shaping-a-healthier-future-Case-for-change-3

In June, Kensington & Chelsea Local Involvement Network (K&C LINk) launched a project to support the development of Patient Reference Groups (PRGs) in the K&C, Queen’s Park & Paddington Clinical Commissioning Consortium.  PRGs are based on cooperation between practice staff and patients and can be a resource for providing valuable feedback about patient procedures and how they could be improved.  To find out more please see:
